(Photo : Facebook/LeTV) The LeTV Le 1s sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop version operating system with the EUI 5.5 on top.

It looks like Chinese Technology Company LeEco (formerly known as LeTV) is preparing to unveil the successor to the LeEco Le 1s handset. An image of the device was recently spotted on Chinese social website Weibo along with its specifications.

According to the image, the new smartphone called LeEco Le 2 Pro will feature a 5.7-inch display screen with a 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution (QHD).

The phone is expected to come with the Android operating system out of the box, and will have a 21 megapixel camera on the back and an 8 megapixel snapper on the front.

Like the popular LeEco Le Max Pro, the Le 2 Pro will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor under its hood, along with 4GB of RAM, up to 64GB of internal memory storage and a 3,100 mAh battery.

Other specs include support for USB Type-C port connector, Dolby Audio and LTE connectivity. As of this time, it is unclear when the LeEco Le 2 Pro will make its way into the Chinese market and how much it will cost. Additionally, there is no word on the availability of the smartphone outside of China.

In the meantime, the Chinese company is reportedly in the process of hiring two former executives of South Korean giant Samsung Electronics. According to a report by The Information, former Chief Marketing Officer Todd Pendleton of Samsung, and the company's former Senior Vice President of HR Shawn Williams will be joining LeEco as part of its plan to establish "a bigger presence in the U.S."

Earlier this year, LeEco announced that it aims to become the third largest smartphone brand in India in 2016. LeEco made its way into the Indian market with the launch of its popular Le Max Pro smartphone, which was the first device to have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset. The company entered the smartphone business back in April 2015.
