Singer-actress Selene Gomez reacted to the throwback photo that ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber posted on his Instagram account on Sunday. The 23-year-old Texas native commented on the picture and simply says 'Perfect," which sent the Jelena fandom into excitement and hopes of reconciliation between their two idols.

The frenzy may not last long, however, as a recent Tweet from @stunningselmg, believed to be one of Gomez's representatives, vehemently denied Gomez's involvement on the "perfect" comment. The post from the representative mentioned that the comment which appeared to have come from Gomez's Instagram account was fake and that the actress has never done such thing.

This may be justifiable as Gomez have repeatedly instigated non-interest in anything that has to do with Bieber. She has always been vocal about wanting distance from the Sorry singing sensation. During a Rolling Stone interview last January, Gomez was caught saying that what she would love to see on print would be news saying that she is "so done" with her ex-boyfriend and with talking about him.

Bieber, however, seems to live in an entirely different situation. In a GQ interview recently, the Purpose World Tour star indicated a smooth-sailing relationship with Gomez, saying they have always been there for each other whenever they needed someone to hold on to. He further added that although this does not happen very often, they have always remained cordial and civil.

To date, the controversial picture has already gathered almost 3 million likes and is expected to acquire more following the buzz that surrounds the "fake" comment. Do you it really came from Selena?
