Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are set to make their romance official after heading to Naples for a glamorous joint photo series with renowned photographer Mario Testino. The series will be featured in the May issue of US Vogue.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid will officially confirm their relationship through the PDA-packed photoshoot with Testino after several months of denying dating rumors.

The two shot on-location in Naples, Italy in a 1950s-inspired session filled with classic Ray-Bans, leather jackets, Vespas, gingham dresses and loads of glamour against a backdrop of surreal cityscapes. The spread, which will be featured in the May Edition of US Vogue, is the first in Malik and Hadid's joint photo series.

In teaser photographs posted on Vogue, the couple looked blissful as they posed together in various locations. They held hands, kissed and flirted throughout the series.

The One Direction member and his fashion model girlfriend previously thwarted rumors that they were dating. The two worked together in Malik's 2015 music video 'Pillowtalk,' where Hadid portrayed the role of his girlfriend.

The track is part of the 23-year old's debut solo album 'Mind of Mine' and was received well by critics. It became a commercial success and entered several music charts worldwide including the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100.

Meanwhile, Hadid's ex-boyfriend Cody Simpson opened up about the model's blossoming romance with Malik. According to ET, the Australian singer said, "It's just kind of the natural way things go. You're going to expect that kind of stuff... I've kind of been going a different way, taking a little time for myself just hanging out and keeping it low key, and working on my music... But I'm always very happy for her and her career and that type of stuff."

He added that he's proud of her for getting to where she is in the tough modeling industry and admitted that they have kept in touch occasionally.

Simpson briefly dated Hadid in 2013, but the two split up in early 2014 due to conflicting schedules. They rekindled their relationship in November of the same year but eventually parted ways in 2015.
