The relationship between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has hit the rocks lately. One of the reasons is apparently that the 'Maleficent' actress is concerned about idea that her husband might be the father of Melissa Etheridge's kids.

During the 90's, the 'I Am The Only One' singer revealed that she's open to the idea of having her own kids. Back in the day, having children through a sperm donor was a huge discussion in the society especially for a lesbian woman, unlike today that it is acceptable.

Brad Pitt and Melissa Etheridge were best friends and because of their close relationship, the singer reportedly asked the actor to donate his sample for her.

The rumor started when Etheridge revealed a part of her past in Australia's Studio 10 talk show. She said, "Well, actually, Brad Pitt was such a good friend of mine. And we did consider it," according to International Business Times. "And yet, I looked and I saw how badly he wanted children and I thought, I don't want to share this with someone who really, badly wants children because my children don't need another parent they have two." However, she later chose David Crosby as her donor.

But, Angelina Jolie seems is allegedly not convinced that her husband is not the father of the singer's kids - Beckett and Bailey - and wants him to undergo a DNA test.

"Angie wants closure on the issue, so she's demanding Brad undergo a paternity test. But Brad says Angie is being paranoid," the unnamed source told the National Enquirer. Furthermore, the 52-year-old actor refusal to take the test has apparently added to her doubts.
