It showed Michael Fassbender's Magneto, Ben Hardy's Angel, Olivia Munn's Psylocke and Alexandra Shipp's Storm towered over by their evil leader En Sabah Nur a.k.a. Apocalypse portrayed by Oscar Isaac. The Four Horsemen are mutants enhanced with greater superpowers to aid Apocalypse in his mission to destroy all of humanity.
Character posters featuring cast members portraying their corresponding X-Men have also been released ahead of the scheduled May premiere. 20th Century Fox was sure to represent both sides of the imminent conflict between mutants by featuring the good guys as well as the bad.
The characters were transformed in their iconic war outfits and mutant transformations with a good overview of their respective super powers. The new batch of posters presented almost everyone in the wide ensemble cast except Lara Condor's Jubilee and Rose Byrne's Moira.
Marvel's upcoming superhero film will follow the reemergence of the first and most powerful mutant Apocalypse as he decides to destroy all of humanity in order to create a new world. A team of young X-Men under the leadership of Professor X band together in hopes of defeating the great enemy and his Four Horsemen.
'X-Men: Apocalypse' is an upcoming fantasy-adventure film intended as the ninth installment in the highly popular 'X-Men' cinematic franchise. It is directed by Bryan Singer with a screenplay by Simon Kinberg. It is scheduled to premiere in theaters on May 27, 2016.
