Car manufacturer Toyota has a clear vision of what lies ahead in terms of technological advancements in the car industry. Evidence of this is the company's latest uBox concept which was designed specifically for those who are part of the Generation Z.

To come up with this concept, Toyota engineers and designers tapped that creative prowess of graduate students from Clemson University's International Center for Automotive Research. According to the team that worked on the uBox concept, it was specifically designed for the entrepreneurial members of the Generation Z. The team added that the muscular exterior, tall ride height and unique aerodynamic features are all aimed at the younger generation.

The interior also sports a fresh and versatile design. It supports custom made 3D printed peripherals, the design can be created by the owner or it can also be sourced from an online community.

Aside from full customization, the interior of the uBox concept was presented in such a way that it appeals to both utilitarian and career-centric type of users.

Toyota claims that the uBox is powered by a "compact, dual-purpose, all-electric powertrain" which is both fund and easy to drive. Toyota added that the engine is powerful and emits no harmful substance. Inside the uBox, passengers can charge their electronic devices and other tools as it sports a 110-volt socket. Toyota is yet to release the official specs list of the concept car.

While Toyota defines the uBox as a utility vehicle, its design closely resembles a van. The car sports a boxy body with hints of experimentation highlighted by sharp creases and hard angles. Instead of unveiling the uBox at an auto show, Clemson students and Toyota decided to pull the wraps off the concept car at the Society of Automotive Engineers World Congress and Exposition in Detroit.
