Kendall Jenner has finally made the decision to drop the "Jenner" from her name.

While she has often been featured in "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" along with her Kardashian/Jenner clan members, the aspiring fashion model has revealed her frustrations over her connection to reality TV and her well-known family.

As such, she has officially crossed out her name and will now be referred to simply as "Kendall."

"Like old school models Iman or Twiggy, Kendall Jenner is just Kendall now," Racked stated last August 27. "Her agency, The Society Management, has dubbed her thusly on their site."

On the official page of The Society Management, Kendall is photographed with other models, such as Adriana Lima, Liu Wen, and Lindsey Wixon, all of whom have retained their last names.

While Kendall has also been widely recognized for her role on "KUWTK" and her relationship to her popular sisters and brothers, she insisted in a recent interview that the reality TV show has not exactly contributed benefits to her modeling career.

 "People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn't. What I have has almost worked against me," Kendall opened up to LOVE Magazine last month. "I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn't take me seriously as a model ... I went on castings and some people weren't feeling me because of my name."

Kendall also told the magazine that it was "great" if people do not recognize her during their castings. "I was like, 'Thank you. Please don't recognize me,'" she said.

While Kendall's intention is not to stay away from her family, she does seek independence from then when it comes to her career.

"She just wants some independence from her family. Everyone in the business refers to her on a first-name basis, anyway," an insider close to the Kardashian told HollywoodLife.

"Plus, she thinks it's cool! She's always looked up to Twiggy and Giselle, and they're on a first-name basis, too," the source added. "It's really important to Kendall that she makes a name for herself on her own and she feels like dropping her last name, helps with that goal."
