Fans might have still some hope in them to see Cote de Pablo's Ziva David prior to Michael Weatherly's exit as Tony DiNozzo from "NCIS" season 13. But is it worth it?

Amid the declaration that the 36-year-old actress is no longer coming back for the send-off of her love interest in the show, Carter Matt stated that there could still be a possibility that she would re-appear.

However, it was pointed out that this re-appearance may not necessarily mean that she would be there physically since her character could "at least be a component of the story leading to Tony's exit."

This means that Cote de Pablo's Ziva may be part of the "NCIS" season 13 finale via Tony finding her before finally going away, or her name would just be "brought up in several conversations."

It was noted that since the final episode would tackle about someone who is going to target current and former agents, there is a huge possibility that Ziva's name would be among those to be mentioned frequently.

In the meantime, Gold Derby made an announcement about an important character returning to the show for Michael Weatherly's exit.

Robert Wagner, the actor who plays the role of Anthony DiNozzo, Sr., will recur in the long-running CBS drama series.

"I love doing 'NCIS.' It's one of the highlights of my career," he declared. "Everybody really cares for each other, and it's one of the reasons the show is so successful."

He even continued by saying, "It's really an exceptional piece of writing."
