Chinese smartphone maker Gionee launched its latest smartphone called the Marathon M5 Plus in the market earlier this year. Now, Gionee has announced that the device can now be purchased online via the online retailing website Flipkart.

The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus is the successor of the Gionee Marathon M5 smartphone, which was launched last year.

The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus features a huge 6-inch display screen. Its AMOLED 2.5 D Curved display screen supports full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The device is powered by MediaTek's MT6753 Octa-core 64-bit processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with a built-in 64GB internal memory storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via a microSD card.

In addition, the Marathon M5 Plus runs on the Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system along with Gionee's Amigo 3.1 user interface on top of it. The device is fueled by a huge 5020mAh capacity battery, which according to the company can last for up to 34.5 days and 829 hours of maximum standby time.

The device sports a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash light and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video calling purposes. Marathon M5 Plus camera setup offers Geo-tagging, Panorama, Auto Focus, Take Anytime, HDR, Professional, Face Beauty, Magic Focus, Pic Note, Night Mode, Filter, Ultra Pixel, Scan, Smart Scene, GIF, Mood Photo, and Image+.

The device supports dual SIM stand-by and comes with USB Type C charging port. The smartphone is also compatible with 4G with VoLTE networks. On the sensors part, it has a Fingerprint sensor, Light Sensor, offers G-Sensor, eCompass, Proximity Sensor, Motion Sensor, Gyro Sensor, and Digital Compass. The handset measures 81.2 x 160.9 x 8.4 mm and weighs 210.8 grams.
