Tom Holland has revealed that he was disappointed with his Spider-Man costume initially. He also admitted that he was initially intimidated by his big new role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since he had to be different from predecessors Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
Holland expressed disappointment over his initial Spider-Man costume saying that it did not fit as well as he had hoped.

"Sadly, I have to say it was a little disappointing. My stunt double at the time was a little taller than I am, and I had to wear his suit because they didn't have one for me! So it was kind of baggy the first time I tried it on, and it wasn't as cool as I hoped!" he explained.
Although his character's action scenes in Joe and Anthony Russo's 'Captain America: Civil War' were mostly in CGI, Holland was still required to wear the full body suit and mask during filming in Atlanta. Holland admitted that he found the costume amazing after the costume department fixed it up to tailor-fit his body.
The 19-year-old British breakout star expressed enthusiasm over his new role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man.
"There are no words that can describe how I feel right now... To be here and to be surrounded by this wonderful cast is just incredible, and I'm so proud of this movie, and just, everything's amazing," he said.
Holland also revealed his excitement over a yet untitled planned standalone film for his character. "To know that I have more of this to come, and this is not just a one-off, is one of the most amazing things to me," he said.
Holland also talked about how different his character would be to past interpretations of Spider-Man portrayed by Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield. During an interview with HeyUGuys, he said that he would focus on portraying Peter as a kid to avoid copying his predecessors.
"It was pretty daunting at first, I'm not gonna lie... I think our main difference is trying to make Peter feel like a kid and in the film you see a kid reacting to meeting the Avengers for the first time. I think that's one of the things people love about these films is seeing real life occurrences happen in these crazy films and that's exactly what happens to Peter in his house," he said.
Holland is set to star in his standalone film in the MCU. 'Spider-Man' is an upcoming superhero film directed by Jon Watts and written for the big screen by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. It is scheduled to be released on July 7, 2017.
