Last month, the ZTE Axon 7 made its way to China's telecommunications equipment certification center TENAA along with a list of its specifications. Specs-wise, the device is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display screen with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels (QHD).
In terms of the camera, the phone is said to have a 20 megapixel unit on the back and an 8 megapixel shooter on the front. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, a whopping 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory storage, which is expandable according to TENAA's listing.
The device is said to be equipped with a large 3,140 mAh battery, and will come with the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box. Additionally, Chief Executive Officer Zeng Xuezhong of ZTE recently teased an image of the upcoming smartphone on Chinese social networking site Weibo. The image basically shows that the bottom side of the phone will not have screws on it.
As of this time, it is unclear whether the ZTE Axon 7 will be available in the United States market. Some of the Axon smartphones did make it to the U.S., such as the ZTE Axon Pro. As for the price, the Axon 7 could cost around $599, according to online retailer OppoMart.
