Chinese smartphone maker Gionee is apparently gearing to launch another smartphone soon. A new smartphone from the company labeled Gionee GN102 has been spotted on the website of China's telecommunication equipment certification authority (TENAA). The upcoming device is rumored to be the S8 Lite smartphone.

The TENAA listing revealed some of the features and specifications of the upcoming device. As per listing, the Gionee S8 Lite smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 resolutions. The device is powered by a 1.8 GHz Octa-core processor (possibly the MediaTek Helio P10). It is packed with a massive 4GB of RAM onboard.

The listing shows that the device will come with a built-in 32GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via a micro SD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the S8 Lite smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash support and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calls.

On the battery side, the device is fueled by a 3,130 mAh capacity battery and runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The upcoming device will be available in Gold color variant. Connectivity options of the device include dual sim, Bluetooth, 4G-LTE Network, WiFi, GPS, A-GPS, and a micro USB 2.0 port.

The smartphone will also come with fingerprint sensor on the back panel and has a metal unibody design. In terms of the design, the device is sleek and slim in structure as the phone measures a body dimension of 153 x 75.3 x 7.6 mm and it weighs 150 grams.

It remains unclear when this device will be available in the market.
