ZTE Launches Teaser Video of the Upcoming Axon 7; Coming to U.S. Market as Well

The ZTE Axon 7 smartphone, which is expected to be unveiled on May 26 in China, is now officially confirmed to land in the U.S. market as well. However, it remains unclear when exactly the device will be made available in the country.
Chinese company ZTE has released an advertisement in the Wall Street Journal which shows an image of a smartphone that looks a lot like the Axon 7. In the ad, the company also thanked its 30 million mobile users "For Choosing Performance Without Price".

Furthermore, ZTE has also released a new video teaser apparently showcasing the Axon 7's audio sound and video quality capabilities. The video reveals a short animation of a piano player performing on stage. A logo of a virtual reality (VR) headset also appears at the end of the teaser which indicates that the phone will support VR technology as well.
Specs-wise, the ZTE Axon 7 is said to feature a 5.5-inch OLED display screen with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels (QHD). The device has a 20 megapixel camera on the back with dual LED flash and an 8 megapixel camera on the front. Inside, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, and is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory storage, which is expandable up to 128GB. Additionally, the handset has a 3,140 mAh battery that is charged via the USB Type-C port connector.
The Axon 7 sports a metal unibody measuring 154 × 77 × 9.8mm in dimensions and weighing 175 grams, according to TENAA's listing. Other specs include a fingerprint sensor placed below the main camera on the back of the phone.
