Reports are claiming that a lot of fans were shocked when the season one's finale revealed that it was Six (Roger Cross) who was the traitor all along. It can be remembered that Six or Griffin Jones' story was told in a way of a protagonist, but in the end, he was exposed as the mole and the one involve with the Galactic Authority. That is why reports are telling that the fans have been blown away with the sudden twist that the first season's finale showed.

In his interview with the Hollywood Reporter in 2015, the showrunner of "Dark Matter" Joseph Mallozi revealed that he already sketched things out, and that he already has a 5-year plan for the series. The executive producer added that the finale episode of "Dark Matter" Season 2 will be much more explosive than the twist that happened in Season 1's finale episode.

On the other note, even if it was showed that Six was the one who betrayed the group, reports are telling that there are still a lot of backstories to tell with the said character. Perhaps, in the coming weeks, more spoilers about "Dark Matter" Season 2 will surface since the second installment is going to premiere this July, Premiere Date reported.

The same publication also reveals that "Dark Matter" Season 2 is a product of a great TV rating provided by the previous installment that captured 1.8 million viewers. The plot might have been really interesting to the audience, featuring 6 people with no memory of who they are and what they have done in the past have found themselves boarding a Starship, and name themselves with numbers one to six.

"Dark Matter" Season 2 returns on Syfy on July 1.
