Reports claim that the previous season of the crime fighting superhero television series, "Daredevil," did well in terms of TV ratings. In spite of that, reports are leading to details that "Daredevil" Season 3 might not return sooner, as the series might be delayed due to "Defenders" miniseries or the premiere of its spin-off "The Punisher" next year.

According to Netflix Life, the "Defenders" miniseries has long been planned by Marvel, and that it would be the TV series version of "The Avengers." The same publication did also note that the "Defenders" will feature Marvel heroes namely Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and of course, Daredevil. The speculations are loud that the "Defenders" will start filming this year.

Moreover, executive producers of "Daredevil" Marco Ramirez and Douglas Petrie will also run the "Defenders," which is why fans are asking whether the showrunners would be able to release "Daredevil" Season 3 on schedule. With that said, reports suggest that fans might not be able to watch the third installment of "Daredevil"this year.

Meanwhile, Morning Ledger notes that the star of "Daredevil" Charlie Cox said that he has still no idea whether his show will be renewed for another season. With the star's statement, fans of the show are reported to be slightly worried that they might not be able to see their favorite superhero TV series on time.

There are also news that the possible delay of "Daredevil" Season 3 might be due to the move of Netflix to air "The Punisher" in 2017. It is said that "The Punisher" was ordered by the network to have its premiere by April 2017.
