Fear the Walking Dead star Frank Dillane was taken into custody on a battery charge following a physical altercation with a security guard at the CBS lot in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The 25-year-old actor was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday and punched the guard on the backlot after he was denied entry while attempting to walk past the security checkpoint, according to LAPD Officer Jenny Houser.

Security personnel detained Frank with a citizen's arrest until cops arrived at the CBS lot, after which the actor was booked with a battery charge.

It is not yet known why Dillane was trying to get on the lot, since he wasn't even shooting on the studio ground but one of the security guards said the actor was acting "erratic" at the time of the incident.

Frank Dillane is the son of Stephen Dillane, who plays Stannis Baratheon on HBO's Game of Thrones. The 25-year-old, who is best known for his role as a recovering drug addict Nick Clark on the hit AMC spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead, has also featured in films like In the Heart of the Sea and Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince as the young Tom Riddle.

The incident went down on the same night the mid-season finale of Fear the Walking Dead aired. The episode was followed by the talk show, Talking Dead, during which it was announced that the AMC original series will return for the second half of season two on Aug. 21.
