Tom Cavanagh has been on "The Flash" since its pilot episode, and now, he will also be returning in the third season as a series regular; however, no confirmation yet on which character version will he be playing in "The Flash" Season 3.

Ever since "The Flash's" pilot episode, Cavanagh already played three characters - Earth-1 Harrison Wells, Earth-2 Harrison Wells and Eobard Thawne a.k.a The Reverse Flash. Although it was already confirmed that he will be a regular character from Season 3 onwards, it is not yet clear on what role would he take between the three characters. With that said, fans are now more interested to see and know what is going to happen in "The Flash" Season 3.

Speculations suggest that since Barry saved his mother Nora Allen from Reverse Flash in "The Flash" Season 2 finale episode, the timeline will be changed, which will definitely affect Barry and other characters of the show, including Cavanagh's character Harry Wells.

It is said that with Barry's decision of saving his mother, the Flashpoint storyline in the comic book written by Geoff Johns will come to life in "The Flash" Season 3. It is speculated that Cavanagh will then play as the original Harry Wells on "The Flash" Season 3 because of the events happened in Season 2.

Meanwhile, in the comic version of "The Flash," even though his mother is alive after Barry's decision of changing the past, he will also found out that his father would have died three years prior, plus it caused him to lose his power in the present timeline.

Let's just wait for what's next to come in Grant Gustin and Cavanagh's characters in "The Flash" Season 3.
