Johnny Depp's former partner Vanessa Paradis has rushed to his defense in the wake of domestic abuse allegations from his estranged wife, Amber Heard.

After Heard, who filed for divorce from the Pirates of the Caribbean star after 15 months of marriage last Monday, obtained a restraining order against him on Friday claiming that she was a victim of verbal and physical abuse at the hands of the 52-year-old actor during the entirety of their relationship.

Paradis, Depp's ex and the mother of his two children, has now written a letter in Depp's defense, saying that he was nothing but kind and loving when they were together.

"Johnny Depp is the father of my two children," she wrote in the letter. "He is a sensitive, loving and loved person, and I believe with all my heart, that these recent allegations being made are outrageous."

"In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years," she added.

Paradis, 43, and Depp, started dating in 1998 and split up 14 years later in 2012. The former couple share two children; daughter Lily-Rose Depp, 17, and 14-year-old son John "Jack" Christopher Depp III.

Earlier today, Depp's daughter Lily Rose also took to Instagram to voice her support for daddy dearest.

"My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know," she captioned a throwback photo of her dad holding her hands when she was a baby. "He's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same."

Depp's first wife, Lori Anne Allison, whom he was married to from 1983 to 1985, also described Depp as a "soft person," adding that she never faced any kind of physical abuse from the actor during their marriage.
