The Chinese smartphone manufacturer said that the update would patch a major flaw involving Gmail and Facebook apps, according to Giz China. Several users have reported that when logging into their Gmail or Facebook accounts, a pop-up notification that reads "LeCloud stop running" randomly appears.
Some users reported that the LeEco Le 2 sometimes ceases to work especially during prolonged usage and when the device reaches a certain temperature. LeEco claims that all the aforementioned bugs have been patched in the new update.
Another bug that was patched involves 4K videos. Some users reported that the smartphone does not allow them to save recorded 4K videos.
Another bug that was fixed involves the reported duplicate icons that are created whenever users try to download an app from the Play Store.
According to NDTV, the stable version of the EUI 5.8.015S is roughly 471MB and is currently available via over-the-air updates.
The LeEco Le 2 has a 5.5-inch display screen with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. The smartphone has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage space, and 16-megapixel rear facing camera. It is one of the first LeEco devices to ditch the conventional 3.5mm headphone port in favor of the new USB Type-C port.
