Hong Kong celebrity Shawn Yue has denied allegations that he and DJ-actress Kitty Yuen are dating, according to Asianpop News.

Rumors started that Yue and Yuen are dating after both celebrities attended an event where they allegedly implied that they were in a relationship.

Yue, who is known for starring in "Not a Star," praised the 45-year old DJ-actress' skills in the kitchen during the event. In addition, the actor is said to have stated that Yuen is his "dream lover."

The rumor was met with polarized comments and sparked a debate among followers of both entertainment personalities. Some fans sent their well-wishes to Yue and Yuen, while others refused to believe the rumors, according to Lollipop.

However, Yue, 34, celebrity was quick to shoot down the dating rumors through a photo he posted on his official Instagram account. In light of the issue, Yue posted a photo of himself, looking shocked.

He expressed surprised about the matter through the photo caption, stating that after waking up, his friends and family had been asking him if he was dating Yuen. The actor said that his mother also called him to ask the same question.

While noting that he is not getting any younger, the actor wrote that fans must have been worried about his love life.

"Kitty, if I still can't find my other half in a few years' time, let us really be together," Yue wrote, addressing the DJ-actress he is being linked to.

Yuen, on the other hand, has not released an official statement regarding the rumor.

In related news, earlier this year, Yue was listed as one of the most popular Hong Kong artists on China Philanthropist magazine, only coming after renowned actors Jacky Chan and Donnie Yen.
