Dubbed as the U-disk, the new flash drive from Elephone promises security from unauthorized access. The disk uses fingerprint technology to verify the identity of the person trying to access its contents.
According to Giz China, the Elephone U-disk will be divided into two parts, one public and one private. The public partition of the disk works just like a typical flash storage system where the data can be accessed without any authentication requirement. On the other hand, the private partition of the disk is encoded and can only be accessed with an authorized fingerprint.
The Elephone U-disk will have a high-quality full metal jacket. Moreover, tech analysts expect the flash drive to have a pretty fast fingerprint scanner recognition. According to Gizmo China, the U-Disk is also expected to support several operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Apple MacOS, Linux, and the Android mobile operating system.
