Wang Baoqiang Divorces Wife, Fires Manager After Finding Out About Their Sexual Affair

Chinese actor Wang Baoqiang took to Weibo on Sunday (Aug. 14) to announce that he will be filing for divorce from his wife Ma Rong and firing his manager Song Zhe after finding out that they were having a sexual affair.

Wang made the shocking announcement on his official Weibo account in the wee hours of Sunday morning. The "Kung Fu Jungle" actor has more than 21 million followers on the Chinese Twitter-like micro-blogging platform and his post has already been shared more than 560,000 times and garnered over 1.5 million comments.

"Now, due to Ma Rong's improper extramarital sexual relations with my agent Song Zhe, which has severely hurt the marriage and destroyed the family, I have solemnly decided to dissolve my marriage with Ma Rong and release Song Zhe from his position," Wang wrote, according to The Straits Times.

Wang and Ma tied the knot in 2009 and have two children, a son and a daughter together. Wang shot to fame after featuring as Shagein in Fen Xiaogang's 2004 film "A World Without Thieves," and then went on star in films like "Lost in Thailand" and "Monk Comes Down the Mountain."

Shortly after Wang's shocking revelation, Ma also took to social media to respond to her estranged husband's post. In a WeChat post Sunday morning, Ma accused Wang of abandoning his family and friends.

"Trying to hide would only make matters worse, the good and the evil each have their truth. Karma will have its turn in due time, if not now," she wrote on Weibo.
