Huawei Honor 8 Officially Hits U.S. Market on August 16

Chinese tech giant Huawei has announced that its flagship Honor 8 smartphone will make its debut in the United States on Aug. 16. Although the Honor 8 has been in available on the Chinese market for quite some time already, the device has yet to made it to overseas markets.
Huawei confirmed the official release date of the Honor 8 in the U.S. through press invites that were sent to various media outlets. On the invite, Huawei asked recipients to "save the date" of Aug. 16 for its upcoming Honor product launch. The invite revealed that the event would take place in San Francisco.

The Honor 8 boasts of a dual camera setup. The dual camera feature of the smartphone was well-received in the by Chinese customers, and many tech analysts are expecting U.S. consumers will likely feel the same.
The Huawei Honor 8 comes in several variants depending on its specs. According to GSM Arena, the entry-level Huawei Honor 8 sports 32GB of storage space with 3GB of memory. One model has 32GB of storage space and 4GB of memory. The high-end model has 64GB of storage and 4GB of memory.
Powering the Huawei Honor 8 is the HiSilicon Kiron 950 chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz with a Mali T880 graphics processing unit. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Huawei Honor 8 has a 12-megapxiel rear facing main camera and an 8-megapxiel front facing camera. Huawei is yet to confirm the official price tag of the Honor 8, although some media outlets have indicated that it would be around $350.
