Chinese tech company Chuwi is gearing to release its newest creation, a 2-in-1 tablet called Hi10 Pro. The tablet is expected to hit the market on Aug. 15 and will have a price tag of $199.
Chuwi is known for its unique blend of affordability and decent specs, and the Hi10 Pro is not an exception. The Hi10 Pro sports a 10.1-inch display with Full HD resolution at 1920 x 1200 pixel and an aspect ratio of 16:10. According to Giz China, the Chuwi Hi10 Pro is only 8.5mm thin and sports a full metal build. It supports USB Type-C 3.0, and packs a powerful 6500mAh Li-ion polymer battery that supports 5V/3A quick charging feature.
An optional keyboard dock is sold separately. The keyboard dock is probably one of the most important peripherals that is needed to turn the Hi10 Pro into a laptop-type device. Users, who are planning to use the tablet in its full capacity, can also buy an optional HiPen H2 stylus can also be bought separately.
The Chuwi Hi10 Pro runs on a dual boot setup with Windows 10 and Remix OS 2.0. While the Windows 10 is pretty much a standard on many laptop brands, the Remix 2.0 operating system is based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop platform. The operating system offers an interesting twist to the ubiquitous Android backdrop, and although more powerful and updated versions of the Android operating system is already available, the Android Lollipop platform is still dominant.
