According to the Wall Street Journal, the talks are still in the preliminary stage. Uber is also said to be holding talks with several other auto makers.

Tony Fadell has announced that he is leaving Nest, the home automation company which he established and sold to Google. Fadell said that he will serve as an advisor to Larry Page and Google's parent company, Alphabet, but he will no longer be involved with Nest.
