China has invested more than $50 billion in the countries along the Silk Road after the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed in 2013, a senior official said revealed on Monday.

China's Foreign Affairs Ministry has adopted a number of policies to enhance the flow of personnel between China and other nations that are part of the Belt and Road Initiative. Department of Consular Affairs director-general Guo Shaochun said that this is the reason for pushing the initiative forward.
China to Accommodate Over 200 More Flights in 2016
