In May, Google said that the company is planning to make HTML5 the default tool in its Chrome Internet browser instead of Flash. Google is staying true to its plan with the latest of Chrome 55 update which completes the transition from Flash to HTML5.

Google is working on a new update for its flagship Internet browser, Chrome, which is due to be released in the next two months. Google claims that the upcoming update will make sure that Chrome will no longer gobble huge amounts of precious memory resource to operate, both on the PC and mobile platforms.
