Tesla Model S has been designed to run in autopilot mode, and this feature has already been available to people for 6 months now. It is said that Audi, Mercedes and General Motors are also going to offer cars with autonomous highway driving capabilities.

Tesla announced that it is offering a one-month free trial of the company's Autopilot feature for the Model S car. The free trial will be open for owners of the Model S who did not opt in for the $2,500 option when they purchased their car.
