No matter how high the specs are, iPhones still break and that includes the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. All smartphones undergo a drop test and though each of them get decent scores, they can still suffer significant damage at some point. Case scuffs and cracked screens can be bothersome.
Jack Cooksey from Perth, Australia dropped his new iPhone 6 in front of millions on Sept. 19. The Today Show interviewed Cooksey and dropped his smartphone when he excitedly struggled to open the box. The crowd was shocked and they screamed at the dropped iPhone.

Lucky for Cooksey, the iPhone 6 is covered with an ion-strengthened glass that survived the accident even if his spirit might have been shattered for a while anyway.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were simultaneously sold on Sept. 19 in 10 countries and four million units were reportedly sold within its first 24 hours. The stores had chaotic queues of buyers who wanted to be the first to get a hold of the Apple iPhone 6. There were some customers who attempted to cut the queue. There were Apple stores which reportedly had lines five blocks long.
Experts predict that Apple will sell over 10 million iPhone 6 over the weekend - an increase from the 9 million sold iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C units in 2013.
Meanwhile, PhoneBuff intentionally dropped the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus thrice of its front, back and side. The side and back drops resulted in small damage but the front drop shattered the device's glass even while the phone continued to work.
