Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is Tough, Survives Multiple Drop Tests

There's nothing like a manufacturer getting in on smashing its smartphones. Samsung has decided to fashion a range of drop tests for the anticipated Galaxy Note 4 to prove this is a durable phone that can survive many different tests.
In the video seen below, Samsung built a pillar from which the Galaxy Note 4 is dropped at different angles. The end result is always the same: the Galaxy Note 4 lives on with no signs of dents or scrapes.

Samsung smashed a crematic cup from the same height, although we wouldn't put crematic on our list of strong materials.
The drop test works on granite floors with a rough surface and metal floors with a smooth surface. Samsung apparently ran hundreds of tests on units before launching the smartphone to gauge any durability problems.
Samsung also did a tumble test where the Galaxy Note 4 and a "soda can" were put into a tumble machine. The test proved the Galaxy Note 4 can survive a rough time tumbling around, perhaps emphasizing it'll survive a fall down the stairs.
It's nice to see a manufacturer show off how tough its own product is and put the product through rigorous tests. The problem is obviously there's no third party verification.
This leaves these tests open to doctoring, making sure the Galaxy Note 4 works perfectly before uploading the video.
That being said, Samsung has always been a durable provider and the Galaxy Note 3 is one of the most durable devices in the world, alongside the Galaxy S4 and S5. We expect no less from the Galaxy Note 4 coming this month to Europe and the US.
