According to information leaked from the Official PlayStation Magazine's upcoming issue, Rockstar's PlayStation 4 version of "Grand Theft Auto 5" will run in 1080p resolution.
Official PlayStation Magazine's (OPM) 100 th issue will reportedly feature 100 of the greatest PlayStation games of all time, as well as 10 full pages covering the remastered version of "Grand Theft Auto 5" on the PlayStation 4.

Not much information was leaked, but it does describe PlayStation no longer using 720p as their best resolution for games. The next-gen PS4 console will have the power to implement full 1080p resolution.
"Farewell, 720p. You served your purpose adequately enough," the OPM issue read. "Still, our eyes have been gagging for 1080p's pin-sharp pleasures and Los Santos sandbox is only too happy to oblige on PS4, running at a native 1920 x 1080 pixels."
The graphics and details of the remastered version will be drastically improved with 1080p resolution.
Rockstar already mentioned increased draw distances that allow users to see details on buildings and streetlights from miles away in the game. They also said the textures are tremendously detailed, so much so that gamers will be able to see screws on some of the vehicles.
The new remastered version will also reportedly have new weather and damage effects, denser traffic and more enhanced wildlife. Rockstar is even increasing the online player lobby capacity from 16 players to 30 total players.
Whether the Xbox One console will be implementing 1080p resolution or not hasn't been confirmed yet. If Microsoft plans on competing with Sony however, it's safe to assume that it will.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of "Grand Theft Auto 5" will be released Nov. 18.
