Scott Walker’s Blame Game Against Fellow Republicans

Gov. Scott Walker (R) seems to be in a real danger of losing his bid for Wisconsin's gubernatorial race amid new polls pitting him against Mary Burke in a dead-heat race, and already he is putting the blame on his fellow Republicans.
On Monday, tensions flared after Walker complained against his deep-pocketed national donors for the lackluster backing he has been receiving.

This follows what appeared like Walker's panicked appeal to the Republican Governors Association (RGA) last week for "more help," The Washington Post quoted him as saying.
In a series of prickly remarks against RGA this week, the boyish executive accused the association of spending so much less than the national spending groups supporting his Democrat opponent.
The Weekly Standard channeled some of his frustrations when it reported of top Wisconsin Republicans who are concerned that the Christie-led association is refusing to fully commit itself behind Walker.
In an interview, he even appeared to have not been too welcoming of Gov. Chris Christie who was visiting to campaign for him.
He said, his fellow Republican "is coming because he asked if he could come and we weren't going to say no," adding that he needed no "surrogates."
The two men are potential rivals for the 2016 Republican presidential nominations.
But Walker immediately backtracked on his grumbles on Monday afternoon, saying he has nothing but utmost respect for RGA and that Christie was his good friend.
The news follows reports of RGA's decision to pour in US$2 million to the final leg of his gubernatorial race and a promise by RGA communications director Gail Gitcho of full support.
Initially hailed as among this year's strongest Republican gubernatorial candidates and in fact among the rare few the entire party could rally behind, Walker appeared poised to win a landslide victory in Wisconsin.
This is probably why the Republicans have underestimated Burke, a former bicycle mogul, who never ran in any political office but evolved to become Walker's toughest opponent, Bloomberg News observed.
