Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Out for Sale: Data Plan, Storage, Price and Design Options

The killer Motorola Droid Turbo is now available for sale from Verizon.

It's a handset exclusive to Verizon and it comes with a 5.2-inch Super Amoled display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, quad-core Snapdragon 805 Krait 450 processor clocked at 2.7 GHz and Adreno 420 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 32 and 64 GB internal storage options.

It's also got Android 4.4.4 KitKat upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 21 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera, 4G LTE, NFC and wireless charging feature, Li-Po 3900 mAh battery unit that lasts 48 hours of talk time, dust and water proof exterior with no IP67 certification. There is no microSD card support for memory expansion.

According to reports, the Droid Turbo battery takes 126 minutes to fully charge and this is longer than the LG G3's 120 minutes and Galaxy Note 4's 95 minutes. It should be noted that the Turbo has a bigger battery than the two.

Reports also show that the Droid Turbo lasted 9 hours and 30 minutes of 4G LTE browsing and this is more than an hour longer than the average.

The Droid Turbo is available in red and black colors which can also be opted to have a Ballistic Nylon rear panel. The 32 GB non-nylon model has three different prices.

The first option is at US$200 with a two-year Verizon contract. The second option is the Verizon Edge, which makes the Droid Turbo free with 24 monthly payments of US$25.

Customers can have a US$10 or US$25 monthly discount based on their chosen data plan. Lastly, the Motorola Droid Turbo costs US$600 without a contract.
