Android 5.0 Lollipop Swedish Tests on Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact

Google just released the Android 5.0 Lollipop source code while its Android Open Source Project (AOSP) version is already running on the Xperia Z1, Zperia Z2 and Xperia Z3.

Sony Mobile reportedly collaborated with Three Sweden to launch a testing program for the Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact powered by the new Android 5.0 Lollipop.

3Beta is a pilot program that gives select Sony fans the opportunity to test drive the Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact running an early versions of the new Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Sony aims to collect as much feedback as possible to make the Sony User Experience on Android 5.0 Lollipop as good as it can be before it gets rolled out in 2015.  Select customers will use the smartphones and report their experience through a dedicated app.

The customers are required to report any issues, problems and bugs with feedback on areas that could use some improvement. Android 5.0 Lollipop is packed with fresh features such as a more responsive user interface, improved control over security, new buttons to control notifications, better performance and more.

3Beta is looking for a number or users to try out the Android 5.0 Lollipop-powered Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact and be software testers. The tester is required to be familiar with Xperia devices and Android operating system and have an interest in technologies.

They will utilize the test device as their daily device within the test period. An applicant should be a subscriber that can go to Malmo, Gothenburg or Stockholm with network carrier representatives and Sony Mobile to review the tests. 3Kontant customers are not eligible to join the program.
