Android Origin said that the National Radio Research Agency (RRA) from South Korea recently certified a new device which has the model number 0P82100. The device is supposedly the 8.9-inch Nexus tablet codenamed Volantis or Flounder. It confirmed that HTC will be making this year's Nexus tablet after Google collaborated with Asus for the release of Nexus 7 and Nexus 7 (2013).
The Nexus 8 running on the 64-bit Tegra K1 will be a strong and fast combination because of the Dynamic Code Optimization. It optimizes the device's processing execution through application routine bypass that results to a speedy computing task for users. According to NVIDIA, Denver can achieve a significantly higher performance compared to existing four to eight core mobile CPUs found on many mobile workloads. Similar to PC, the Nexus 8 with the 64-bit Tegra K1 can deal with multitasking easily, turning it into a workhorse tablet.
In spite of being dual-core, Denver is a major improvement from the 32-bit Tegra K1 that earned praises from experts and it is expected that the 64-bit Tegra K1 will offer an impressive mobile device experience, be it media playback, Web browsing or gaming. The screen will have a 2560 x 1600 display resolution and 221 dpi and 2 GB of RAM, perfect for the new chip.
With equal GPU and CPU muscles, the device's serious concern is battery life in a single charge. With Denver though, longer operating hours are expected because of the chip's low latency power-state transitions, working well with the 7-way Superscalar Design and Dynamic Code Optimization. Significantly reduced power consumption is expected.
