The iPhone 6 has not been released yet but it seems Samsung is already ready to compete with it through the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. The Galaxy Alpha has previously been rumored to have powerful specs and a new design that features a chamfered metal edge similar to the iPhone 5S.

The Galaxy Alpha is Samsung's first metal frame that offers a luxurious feel because of its entire new look. Galaxy smartphones have always had plastic bodies criticized for its "cheap" look and feel compared with its competitors in the high-end mobile device market such as the iPhone and HTC One.

A new leak provides a possible look inside the rumored Samsung Galaxy Alpha's iFacade. The new leaked photo reveals that the Galaxy Alpha will have a 4.7 Super AMOLED Display, 2GB of RAM with 32 GB of internal storage and no MicroSD slot, 1860 mAh (marked to be announced), heart rate monitor, fingerprint sensor, USB 3.0, nano SIM, 4G LTE and Android 4.4 KitKat. Notably, there are rumors saying a 64GB variant will also be available.

It also showed AnTuTu benchmark results that place the Samsung Galaxy Alpha ahead of both the Galaxy S5 and HTC One (M8). This could mean the the Galaxy Alpha will be a beast of a smartphone. Recent leaks also claim that the Galaxy Alpha will sport an Exynos 5 Octa chipset with a 1.8GHz processor. However, it was previously rumored to have an Exynos 5433 which also got a serious horsepower. It also has a camera with HDR imaging, allowing the user to take pictures in low lighting and an ultra power saving mode that makes battery charge longer.

The ejectable nano SIM sets the Galaxy Alpha apart from all Samsung devices. The 720p display and 12 MP rear camera are quite mediocre so the speculated price of €500-550 may be a bit pushy. The 4.7-inch display is smaller than the 5-inch Galaxy S4 and 5.1-inch Galaxy S5. It is said to be out in the first week of September in colors dazzling white, sleek silver, charcoal black, frosted gold and scuba blue.
