Samsung Galaxy S7 Rumors: Bigger but Still With no MicroUSB?

Samsung

Samsung Galaxy S7 is likely to be bigger than its predecessors.

According to recent leaks, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 will look very similar to the Galaxy S6. However, it is a risk given the Galaxy S6's impractical design. Samsung has reportedly informed case manufacturers that there will be two bigger S7 versions in the future. Now there are Galaxy S7 renders from a third party accessory manufacturer going around the Internet. While information is scarce, it shows the S7's detailed proportions and layouts.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be launched in February 2016 at the Mobile World Congress where Samsung often unveils its flagship phones. However, rumors say it may be launched sooner.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 reportedly measures 143.37 x 70.8 x 6.94mm which is very similar to the Galaxy S6's measurement.

It is wider and thicker than the previous model, going against the trend of thinner phones. Customers still hope that the Galaxy S7 will have a larger screen and bigger battery. With these dimensions, the microUSB remains questionable. The other version is reportedly smaller than its sibling, measuring almost the same as the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2. If the Galaxy S7 still has the S6's glass finish, it could be a huge, slippery handset.

Samsung already has the Adaptive Fast Charging and customers hope that it comes with an improved one on the Galaxy S7 next year. Adaptive Fast Charging is already on the Galaxy S6 and it gets around 50 percent of charge in 30 minutes. The Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 is more efficient and faster than the current technology and it may be supported by the speculated Snapdragon 820 Galaxy S7 phones. It is still unclear whether the wireless charging on the Galaxy Note 5 will be transferred to the Samsung Galaxy S7 too. There may be more color options than the Galaxy S6's black, silver, gold and topaz.
