Cameroon international captain and former Sevilla center-back Stephane Mbia has signed for the Hebei China Fortune, the Chinese Super League side announced on Friday.
Mbia is the second African that the Chinese outfit has signed this week after Ivory Coast international Gervinho transferred from AS Roma to the club. The monetary details of the deal was not disclosed by the Qinhuangdao-based club.

The Cameroonian national team captain is also the latest Europe-based player to move East in the current transfer window.
"Looking forward to 'absolute beast defender' Mbia fully showing his strength," the club wrote on Weibo.
Mbia posted a photo of himself in a waistcoat and cufflinks, holding a shirt from his new club on his verified Twitter feed.
"Proud to join Hebei China Fortune," he wrote. "Ready for this adventure. Let's go."
The 29-year-old center-back only joined the Turkish professional football club Trabzonspor last summer on a free signing following the expiration of his contract with Sevilla. Mbia played 15 league games and scored three goals for the Turkish outfit.
The Cameroonian footballer has represented his country on over 60 occasions since winning his first cap in the year 2005 and netted a total of five goals for the national team. Mbia was part of Cameroon's national team line-up for the 2008 Olympics. He has competed in African Cup of Nations and in the FIFA World Cups twice.
Mbia is the latest addition to a growing list of high profile international football players moving in to China.
In recent developments, Chelsea's Brazilian midfielder Ramires signed with Jiangsu Suning for a record-setting 25 million pounds.
Colombian international Fredy Guarin of Inter Milan has also joined Shanghai Greenland Shenhua for a reported contract of 11 million euros. Congolese defender Lukimya-Mulongoti and Former Perth Glory captain Michael Thwaite have moved to the Liaoning Whowin, while Australian Trent Sainsbury joined Jiangsu Suning.
