Xiaomi has confirmed the upcoming launch of the Xiaomi Mi 5 on Feb. 24 at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2016. Despite the fact that the device is set to be unveiled in only a few days, leaks and rumors continue to swirl online about the new Xiaomi flagship smartphone.

The most recent leak includes a few images of the device from Twitter user Steve Hemmerstoffer. One photo shows a 5.2-inch 1080p panel with a fingerprint sensor on the device's face. A second image shows a 2.1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 64 GB of storage and Android 6.0 with MIUI 7.6.2.1.

Another leaked presentation confirmed most of the rumors about the Xiaomi Mi 5, but showed different battery and front camera specs. It  revealed that the Mi5 will come in two models in terms of storage and memory - one which will come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of in-built storage while the other one will offer 64 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM. Rumor has it that the Mi5 will feature a microSD card support for expandable memory and dual-SIM card support.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is said to measure 144.3 x 70.2 x 6.35 mm. It could come with a Type-C USB slot and USB 3.0 with Quick Charge 3.0. This fast charging feature will reportedly juice up the phone by 80 percent in only 34 minutes. Rumors include a 3600 mAh battery capacity, a 26 MP camera with phase detection auto-focus (PDAF), a dual LED flash and NFC, WiFi 802.1 1ad and GPS connectivity. There is still no news about the device's price and people are now eagerly waiting for the Xiaomi Mi 5 to be official unveiled.
