(Photo : Getty Images) Kesha reveals she was offered "freedom" by Dr. Luke in exchange for taking back her sexual assault allegations against the music producer.
Kesha took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal that she was "offered freedom" if she issued a formal apology and rescinded her rape allegations against Dr. Luke a.k.a. Lukasz Gottwald.
"So. I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie," Kesha captioned a photo of herself. "I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors. I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again."

In 2014, Kesha filed a lawsuit against the music producer accusing him of drugging her and sexually and physically assaulting her for nearly a decade. Dr. Luke denied her claims and countersued for breach of contract and defamation.
Earlier this year, the "Timber" singer's request for a preliminary injunction allowing her to be released from her Sony-owned contract with Dr. Luke was denied by a judge, a decision she appealed in the New York Supreme Court.
"I didn't rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her," Dr. Luke tweeted in February. "Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister."
Dr. Luke also said that Kesha's allegations were financially-motivated and shared a screenshot of a 2011 testimony, wherein Kesha "denied under oath the horrible allegations now being made against" him.
"Kesha's Instagram posting is false," Dr. Luke's rep said in response to Kesha's Instagram post.
"The Court repeatedly stated Kesha is already free to record without Dr. Luke, and that she had not presented any facts supporting her claims. That's because all the evidence-including Kesha's own videotaped sworn testimony show her allegations are false."
"The only thing Kesha is not free to do is to continue to lie about Dr. Luke through publicity stunts and outrageous smears, ignoring the fact that by her own free will she went to work and entered new contracts with Dr. Luke years after this 'incident' supposedly happened," the statement continued.
"Her goal all along has been solely personal enrichment by seeking to break contracts that brought her success and millions so she can enter into more lucrative ones. We look forward to our day in court holding Kesha accountable for her lies."
