Chris Pratt's Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord is set to appear on the upcoming two-part superhero films 'Avengers: Infinity War' as teased by directorial duo Joe and Anthony Russo. According to Express, the Russo brothers may have confirmed the appearance of Chris Pratt's Star-Lord from the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' franchise in their upcoming two-part 'Avengers: Infinity War' films.
Anthony Russo said, "The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that's happened before in the MCU so you don't want to get into spoilers but I'm a big fan of what James Gunn has done... [Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited."
Although the director didn't deliberately blurt out Pratt's involvement in the two-part superhero film, it may not come as a surprise since crossovers are common among films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
According to another article on Film, the directorial duo may also tease more in a possible post-credits scene for 'Captain America: Civil War' upon its release on May 6, 2016.
It was speculated that Thanos might serve as the primary villain for 'Avengers: Infinity War' and the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy may join forces to defeat him. Josh Brolin worked on 'Guardians of the Galaxy' as the evil intergalactic overlord through voice acting and performance capture but was uncredited.
Meanwhile, Joe Russo also confirmed the appearance of Chris Hemsworth's prince of Asgard in the upcoming films. According to Comicbook.com, he said, "I'm excited to work with Thor... They're doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he's gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that."
'Avengers: Infinity War' is an upcoming two-part installment in the 'Avengers' cinematic franchise. Part One is scheduled to be released on May 4, 2018 and is intended as the 19th film in the MCU while Part II is scheduled to follow on May 3, 2019 and is the 22nd film in the MCU. Both upcoming films are directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
