The Disney resort station at the subway line 11 in Shanghai will also be beautified by renowned Disney figures. Its trial operations will start on Tuesday.
Under the agreement, China Eastern will also sponsor the resort's Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction where visitors can soar and maneuver through the air. While enjoying the thrill of flying, guests will witness the splendid bird's-eye view of the Enchanted Storybook Castles and Gardens of Imagination.
Shanghai Disney Resort is the first theme park in the mainland and the sixth Disney resort across the world. Many await as its magical doors are set to open on June 16 this year.
People cannot contain their excitement to get a first-hand experience of the world-class resort as it promises to be "a truly magical place that is both authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese," Bob Iger, Disney chairman and CEO, said. Opening tickets were all sold out in less than an hour, while scalpers are now luring fanatics by selling passes as high as 3,899 yuan ($600).
The resort's management is expecting to attract 10 million visitors annually. In preparation for the massive crowd, Shanghai Disneyland is recruiting 10,000 talented and hardworking individuals to run and represent the park.
