Huawei Honor 8, Maimang 5 Introduced in China

Huawei has debuted its upcoming Honor 8 handset in China, and it will soon hit the shelves in other parts of the world.

The Huawei Honor 8 has great specs and an affordable price. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 chipset and comes with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of internal storage. It also comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, dual 12 MP rear camera lenses with a f/2.2 aperture and an 8 MP front camera, 3,000 mAh battery capacity with USB C fast charging and 4G LTE capabilities.

The Honor 8 comes with two SIM slots and a fingerprint sensor. 9To5google reported that the Huawei Honor 8 would run Android Marshmallow with its EMUI 4.1 skin.

Meanwhile, the Huawei Maimang 5 has also been released in China. According to GSMArena, it comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD touchscreen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with a 2 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM, up to 64 GB of expandable storage and 3,340 mAh battery capacity. It also comes with a 16 MP rear camera equipped with dual LED flash and 4K video capture and an 8 MP font camera.

Just like the Honor 8, the Maimang 5 will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1. It has a fingerprint scanner on a metal build that comes with three color variants. The gold variant will be available for sale online on July 21 at the Huawei online store in China, priced at CNY 2,599 ($388).
