Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro: Snapdragon 821, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB Storage

Xiaomi is set to release the Mi Note 2 Pro, which is said to be a more high-end device than the Mi 5.

Leaks have revealed that the Mi Note 2 Pro will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED touchscreen and a huge 3,700 mAh battery. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, which supposedly performs 10 percent better than its 820 predecessors. It will come with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and a 12 MP Sony rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and four-axis optical image stabilization.

According to Anzhuo, the Xiaomi Mi 2 Pro will come with 64 GB or 128 HB of UFS flash storage and a fingerprint scanner on the front. The display is said to be manufactured by AU Optronics and will feature 500-nit maximum brightness, cover 96 percent of the AdobeRGB color space and have an RGB sub-pixel arrangement.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro, codenamed Altun, has appeared on Geekbench listing several times. It reportedly scored 980 in single core tests and 4076 in multi-core tests. It is said to be priced at CNY 2,499 ($373) for the 32 GB variant and CNY 2,999 ($488) for the 64 GB one. A high-end variant of the device with 128 GB storage and 6 GB of RAM is said to be priced at CNY 3,499 ($523).

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro is expected to be unveiled in August. However, the company has not confirmed the release date of the device.
