China Mobile has announced its plan of launching the trial run of 5G technology by 2017, rolling out around 10,000 5G base stations by 2020.

Miniature computer Raspberry Pi 3 will soon support low-throughput cellular connections which can allow users to control the device over long distances. Altair recently announced that the firm has finished testing its ALT1160 Category 1 LTE chip on the Raspberry Pi 3 and it is ready for roll out.

HTC Bolt for Sprint Now Available at $600 Off-Contract

HTC has announced that its Bolt smartphone is now exclusively available on the Sprint network. The phone, as the name implies, banks on Sprint's latest network technology which the company claims can provide faster download speed compared to other networks. The HTC Bolt for Sprint starts at $600.
Telstra to Launch Gigabit LTE Service in Australia this Year

Tech giants Qualcomm, Netgear, Ericsson, and Australian network provider Telstra are working on a new wireless technology that can theoretically support speed of up to 1Gbps. The technology is simply called Gigabit LTE and the companies involved in developing it are hoping to roll it out before the end of the year.

LG Unveils Action Camera That Supports LTE Network

LG is dipping its toes into the action camera market with its latest, and aptly named, Action Cam LTE. As the name suggests, LG's camera has native LTE support which means that users are not required to sync it with a smartphone to stream live videos.
