Microsoft Strikes Partnership Deal With OpenAI

Tech giant Microsoft has announced that it is entering a partnership deal with OpenAI, a non-profit research organization backed by Elon Musk. Microsoft said that it is allowing OpenAI to access the company's virtual machine technology to help in the development of large-scale AI simulation and training exercises.

Two major players in the tech industry, Microsoft and Hewlett Packard, announced on Tuesday that they are working on a partnership in the cloud platform market. HP will provide new hardware products for Microsoft to integrate into its Azure cloud platform.

Urs Hölzle, Google's senior vice president for technical infrastructure, announced Friday at the Google for Entrepreneurs Global Partner Summit that the company is would start its Cloud Platform for Startups program, which would offer early stage startup companies $100,000 in Cloud Platform credits for a year so developers could host applications on its servers.
