‘League of Legends’ now a Sanctioned Sport in Unigames

The very popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game “League of Legends” was recently admitted as an official sport at Unigames. The game’s developer, Riot Games, officially confirmed the news.

Following rumors that upgraded versions of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are in the making, a new gaming console is throwing its hat into the ring. Tech companies Riot Games, Intel, and Haier, have unveiled that the Blade Box, a gaming console based on the Tencent TGP Box.

Chinese tech giant Tencent has completed its purchase of Riot Games, developer of the highly popular “League of Legends.” Tencent acquired majority of Riot Games in a stakeout in February 2011, while the latest purchase acquired the remaining equity of the game developer.
