Despite his edge in experience, lightweight Joe Lauzon thinks that Michael Chiesa, his opponent for UFC Fight Night 50 this Friday, cannot be underestimated.

Chiesa may not be considered as one of the biggest names in the league at this point in his career but for Lauzon, respect should be given to opponent pitted against him.

In an interview with Cagewriter, Lauzon stated that Chiesa is known as a man who is always prepared to fight. Also, Lauzon pointed out that the man is good with the jab using his long arms.

The 30-year-old contender has always been confident with his matches. However, he cannot provide a prediction on the outcome of the fight. What he is sure about is that it is going to be an exciting fight.

"A lot of the things he's good at, I feel that I'm better at. He uses his boxing to set up his Jiu Jitsu well, and I'm pretty good at that. He has good Jiu Jitsu and I think I have great Jiu Jitsu. I don't quite know how the fight is going to go. I could see us going out there hard and one guy clipping the other one right away. You never know." said the former "Ultimate Fighter" contestant.

Chiesa, a former "The Ultimate Fighter" winner, scored four wins out of his five fights in the UFC. One of his opponents were Francisco Trinaldo which he defeated at UFC 173 via unanimous decision.

With Lauzon claiming that he had the best training camp of his career, he is not worrying about him being out of action for eight months. His last fight was in December 2013 when he won a unanimous decision victory over Mac Danzig, another former winner of The Ultimate Fighter contest.

The man is very excited to be back in the octagon. After winning the Danzig fight, Lauzon can be tagged as "The Ultimate Fighter" killer if he wins in Connecticut.
