Leadership traditionally shows up at the official acknowledgment of the day. Sometimes, in off-years, the Dear Leader has been absent, so it would be even more glaring should a leader miss the 70th anniversary than this one.
No Charges Filed For Palin Family Sept. 6 Anchorage Party Brawl

Alaska authorities said Thursday no charges would be filed against Sarah Palin and her family members for their part in a drunken Anchorage party brawl last month. In doing so, Anchorage police released details about the brawl that add details to those disclosed through social media accounts at the time of the Sept. 6 party.
Red Bull To Refund Customers Over False Claims

In case energy drinkers didn't realize already, contrary to Red Bull advertising, the caffeine-infused beverage doesn't give them wings. And now, Red Bull is probably going to pay for making that false claim following a consumer class action court settlement Thursday directing the company refunding $10 to each Red Bull drinker. Those filing claims can receive $15 in Red Bull products if they don't want the cash.

Patton cited irreconcilable differences as she filed although she told tabloids the divorce was amicable.
