‘Fifth Beatle’ George Martin Dies at age 90

British producer George Martin, who gambled on producing influential rock band The Beatles at a time when no one had the courage to do so, has died at the age of 90 on Tuesday, March 8. The announcement was first seen in a tweet posted by The Beatles member Ringo Starr. The reason for Matin's death has not yet been disclosed.

Based on chart position dating to 1963, Billboard magazine has named Adele's Grammy award-winning 2011 album "21" the greatest of all time. The Oscar-winning soundtrack for the 1965 Julie Andrews-led movie "The Sound of Music" comes in second, spending 109 weeks in the Billboard 200 top 10. "21" was on top of the Billboard 200 album charts for 24 weeks and in the top 10 for 78 weeks.
